What's a flange

Flange, also known as flange, is a common mechanical connection component, often used in pipeline engineering and mechanical equipment. It is a disk-shaped metal body with fixed holes distributed around it for connection with other parts or pipes. Flanges are manufactured in accordance with the dimensions and tolerances produced by national standards to ensure that standardised flanges can provide stable performance and adequate safety in a variety of application scenarios.

The connection between the flanges usually requires the addition of a gasket and is tightened by bolts to ensure tightness. According to different industry standards and uses, flanges can be divided into many types, such as integral flanges, threaded flanges, flat welded flanges, neck butt welded flanges and so on.

When buying flanges, you should try to choose products that meet the standard to avoid safety hazards and performance problems caused by non-standard flanges (do not meet the standard size).

In general, flanges are important connectors in mechanical engineering and pipeline engineering, and the correct selection and use of flanges is of great significance to ensure system safety and improve equipment efficiency
